Psychotherapist
Monica Erdosh, LCSW

With passion and compassion, my work as a therapist is about connecting with others. Through this connection, we access the thoughts and feelings that make up the fabric of our individual lives. I am honored daily to accompany my clients on their unique journeys through the joys and challenges of life. My own life experience tells me that regardless of what we must face, we all long to experience joy and strive for a deeper sense of meaning. Sometimes in our fast-paced lives, time to reflect, heal, explore and clarify is the most valuable gift one can give to the self.
What I Offer
Therapy & Yoga in Auburn

Intimate Relationships
Intimate relationships offer us profound opportunities for connection, growth, and transformation. In a safe, loving environment, we can open our hearts to one another, creating space for deeper intimacy and understanding. Partnerships often challenge us in ways that invite self-reflection, empathy, and growth. They require us to see the world through our partner’s eyes and to cultivate emotional regulation in the face of conflict.
In my therapy office, I offer a nurturing and supportive space where couples can explore both their strengths and struggles. Relationship work provides an opportunity to deepen your connection by learning how to communicate effectively and lovingly. I help couples build bridges between their individual worlds, ensuring that both partners feel heard, understood, and valued. Together, we work on transforming difficult conversations into opportunities for greater connection, where both individuals can express themselves while recognizing their own defenses.

Teens and Young Adults
Navigating the complexities of adolescence and early adulthood in today’s fast-paced, often uncertain world presents unique challenges. My approach with teens and young adults is rooted in compassion, understanding, and acceptance. I create a judgment-free space that encourages exploration of their experiences, dreams, fears, and aspirations.
It’s truly inspiring to witness the strengths, resilience, and wisdom young people possess as they face the world around them. My goal is to support them in discovering their unique path, building confidence, and believing in their own potential. In our work together, we explore effective ways to cope with difficult emotions, cultivate healthy relationships, and develop communication skills beyond the digital realm—skills that will serve them in all aspects of their lives.

Experience
I began my private practice in 2000 and have worked extensively with all age groups, including many years working with children and teens. While I no longer work with children I continue to love my work with individual teenagers and adults.
My interest in intimate relationship work has deepened throughout the years and I have been informed by many leaders in this rich and challenging field. As important as our intimate relationships are, they can also be a source of deep pain, disappointment and trauma. I believe in the power of deep presence as a therapist and guide. I have been trained and informed profoundly by Esther Perel, Hedy Schleiffer, Terry Real, Alexander Soloman and many other brilliant and innovative thinkers.
